Welcome! Somehow or another, you've reached my homepage. I'm Miles Grimes, known as TheDecentTech on Patreon

More than anything, I'm a man of the Midwestern United States, where I've lived in Illinois most of my life, before coming to Missouri.

After studying psychology and philosophy in university, I transitioned to the programmer's life. Now I try to keep my hands out of the code while I manage a team of developers.

In my hubris as an early programmer, I saw the popular game "Cookie Clicker" and said "Well, I could do that!" An attempt or two later, I have a decent module called Progressive Game. It isn't a half-bad game of the genre, and is one of my currently-rewriting projects, more of which you can read about on my homepage.

On that note, this website primarily serves to hold my personal projects, with an emphasis on games development, but including other experiments and tools. I plan for any content hosted here to remain free and easily accessible for my foreseeable lifetime.

That being said, I produce this content on my own time, apart from my full-time job, so I appreciate any and all contributions to make that investment easier to practically justify.
